Volunteers and Foster Parents Needed

Can't adopt a cat right now, but would still like to help? Put your talents to work by assisting ASAP with fundraising, clerical work, socializing cats, or helping potential adopters select just the right feline friend!

ASAP also has an immediate need for volunteers and kitten foster parents. For more information on becoming a volunteer or foster mom (or dad!), send an email message to volunteer@asapcats.org.

FYI

The following abbreviations will help you determine the gender of the kitties for adoption:
M/N = Male, Neutered.
F/S = Female, Spayed.

MEET STANLEY!

Stanley, a 4-year-old short-hair, is large and in-charge. This solid, white boy has a tabby tail and black mask. He is stalwart, independent and curious and likes to be petted on his own terms.  He should be adopted into an adult household.

MEET PRIUS!

Prius, a short-haired brown tabby, is a young cat who has been with us since she was a kitten. ASAP volunteers believe this pretty girl will blossom in a home of her own with older children.

MEET POLLY!

Polly, a black and white short-hair older kitten, is affectionate and playful.  She's looking for a loving home where she can roam and blossom.  She can get overstimulated so would probably do better in an adult household, where she can rule supreme as the only cat in your life.

MEET CARAMEL!

Caramel is a 2-year-old Siamese Mix Lynx Point who is shy at first but friendly, rewarding you with purrs.   Shy at first, she will be very friendly and reward you with purrs and appreciation if you approach her with love and kindness.

MEET CAPTAIN!

Captain, a 7-year-old medium-haired brown tabby with golden eyes, is shy but rewards patience with affection. Loves chin scratches and adores being petted, pampered and brushed.  Will make a great lap cat.

MEET CALISTA!

Calista, a 6-year-old short-haired tortoise-shell, is shy until she gets to know you. Then with love and attention she blossoms and will purr and respond with pleasure to head scratches. She is looking for a quiet, adult home, perhaps with an older person.

MEET SUNNY!

F/S, 2 years. Sunny, a long-haired calico, needs a new home as her elderly guardian could no longer care for her. She is very affectionate, gets along with people and other cats, and loves being petted and pampered. Indoor only.

MEET KIT KAT!

F/S, 4 years. Kit Kat is a gorgeous, petite tortoise-shell tabby with a white bib.  She is friendly and affectionate. This young mom is looking for a quiet home where she can blossom.

MEET GALADRIEL!

F/S, 1 year. Galadriel, a short-haired grey tabby with amber eyes, is looking for a home after raising three Siamese-mix kittens.  A life of leisure would be in order! Once she knows you, she is friendly and affectionate.  Would probably do best in a household without small children.

MEET ERMINE!

M/N, 2 years. Ermine is a mostly white boy with a grey T-bone on his head and a fluffy white tail. He is friendly, gentle and playful and gets along with other cats. Will need to live in an adult household as an indoor-only cat due to his white nose.

MEET NINA!

F/S, 4 years. Nina is a short-haired black cat who is a bit shy at first. However, when she knows you she rushes to you and loves to be held like a baby with her arms up to your neck, purring the whole time. A bit high strung, she should be in an adult home with no other pets.

MEET LYRA!

F/S, 3 years. Lyra is an active lean short-haired tabby charmer. She is quite acrobatic, enjoying high-places, and was born to play! She will be perfect in an active family home as an indoor-outdoor pet.

MEET PEPPER!

M/N, 7 years. Pepper is a short-haired velvety black boy, long and lanky with a distinctive split in his right ear and amber eyes. He loves head, cheek and chin rubs and has a long thin tail that he curls and twirls while being petted. Pepper gets along with most other cats.

MEET JASMINE!

F/S, 3 years. Jasmine is a lovely spackled tortoise-shell girl with light green eyes. She can be affectionate and friendly, but she gets overstimulated easily. A bit stir crazy at ASAP, this feline is looking for a calm adult home where she can blossom.

MEET EMMA!

F/S, 7 years. Emma is a big and beautiful feline who is mostly white with a brown tabby back and mask and a ringed raccoon tail. She is a calm, quiet and cautious lady looking for a safe, stable home to curl up in. With her pink nose, she will need to live indoors to protect her from the sun. Gets along with other cats.

MEET ILIOS!

F/S, 6 years. Ilios, a big shorthaired tuxie, is mostly black with a white bib, belly, feet and whiskers. She loves to have her head rubbed and be brushed--a real love bug who rewards you with purrs. Will make a greater indoor/outdoor pet.

MEET CLAUDIA!

F/S, 1 year.  Claudia, a short-haired brown tabby, had been wandering a local neighborhood for a month and is now at ASAP looking for a permanent home!  She seems unflappable and polite and loves being petted and pampered, rewarding you immediately with purrs.

MEET KATY!

F/S, 12 years. Katy, a short-haired brown tabby, is easygoing and affectionate.  She is loving and likes being petted and pampered. Gets along with dogs.

MEET FELIX!

M/N, 1 year. Felix, a black and white short-hair, is friendly and fun! He taps you on the arm when you walk by his cage and loves to be petted. Gets along with children and will make a great family pet.

MEET THEO!

M/N, 3 years. This long-haired black cat loves petting and head scratches and he looks up at you adoringly with his beautiful gold eyes when you hold him. ASAP volunteers believe Theo may become a lap cat!

MEET MYSTERY!

M/N, 2 years.  Mystery is a sleek black short-hair cat with yellow-green eyes.  In the past he's had to fend for himself and so is a bit leery of other cats. . He has the softest meow and loves to rub his head over you and give love bites to show his affection.  Mystery is looking for a loving adult home where with time and TLC he will blossom.
